Inspirational Advice from Celebs ๐ŸŒŸ for Girls Who Want to Live Life to the Full ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’ ...

There are a lot of things we should definitely not take advice about from celebrities. For instance, I'm a little hesitant to take marriage advice from someone who's been divorced five times.

I have a friend who gets really angry when he hears George Clooney wax political, while it doesn't bother me at all. It's not that I ignore George Clooney-I mean, come on, look at the guy-but I don't pay much mind to the political stuff because he's not a politician;

he's an entertainer. It's interesting, sure, but that's not what he does best. What I do listen to, though, are celebrities who try to encourage the rest of us to feel good about ourselves.

There are a lot of people who use their celebrity to give suggestions to their fans about how to make the most of life. I know I've missed a few, but here are some of my favorites. Some aren't tips so much as food for thought.

1. Madonna, Singer

โ€œNo matter who you are, no matter what you did, no matter where you've come from, you can always change, become a better version of yourself.โ€

2. Jennifer Lawrence, Actress

โ€œAs hard as it is and as tired as I am, I force myself to get dinner at least once a week with my girlfriends, or have a sleepover. Otherwise my life is just work.โ€

Regardless of what else you do, take time out for yourself and your girlfriends.

Relax, have fun and hang out with people who know you well and support you in what you do.

3. Katy Perry, Singer

โ€œI think you should definitely listen to what people say, because everyone says it: high school is not the real world.โ€

โ€œI never want to be just one thing-I want to be multidimensional.โ€

She is, and so are you.

There are so many things inside of you that the world needs to see, so don't feel like you have to be โ€œjust one thing.โ€

4. Demi Lovato, Singer

โ€œNever be ashamed of what you feel. You have the right to feel any emotion that you want and to do what makes you happy.โ€

5. Lady Gaga, Singer

โ€œSome women choose to follow men and some women choose to follow their dreams. If you're wondering which way to go, remember that your career will never wake up and tell you that it doesn't love you anymore.โ€

In other words, don't put your dreams or ambitions aside to please a guy. Honestly, I doubt the right guy would want you to do that anyway.

6. Mary J. Blige, Singer

โ€œThe important thing to realize is that no matter what people's opinions may be, they're only just that-people's opinions. You have to believe in your heart what you know to be true about yourself. And let that be that.โ€

7. Ashley Greene, Actress

โ€œIf something is bothering you with a guy, it's better to say something and hurt at the moment than to stay in something and let someone treat you less than you should be treated.โ€

8. Emma Stone, Actress

โ€œDon't be afraid, even though people might say what you're doing isn't cool or isn't right. I promise you, you will not regret it, if you stay true to who you are and what you love to do.โ€

9. Angelina Jolie, Actress

โ€œWe have a choice about how we take what happens to us in our life and whether or not we allow it to turn us.

We can become consumed by hate and darkness, or we're able to regain our humanity somehow, or come to terms with things and learn something about ourselves.โ€

10. Taylor Swift, Singer

โ€œNo matter what happens in life, be good to people. Being good to people is a wonderful legacy to leave behind.โ€

โ€The longer you're with the wrong person, you could be completely overlooking the chance to meet the right person.โ€

11. Kelly Rutherford, Actress

โ€œWe should not see ourselves as the contestant but as the prize...The energy in which we go into a relationship is what we get out of it.

So if we go in quite hastily or not being ourselves balanced, we will have to deal with that at some point in the relationship as it sets the tone for the whole relationship.โ€

12. Emilia Clarke, Actress

โ€œThere are no captions on red-carpet photos that say, 'This girl trained for two weeks, she went on a juice diet, she has a professional hair and makeup person and this dress was made for her.' I just wish they'd say, 'It ain't the truth.'โ€

Amen.

Remember this next time you start to compare yourself to an actress or model.

13. Marilyn Monroe, Actress

โ€œTo all the girls that think you're ugly because you're not a size 0-You're the beautiful one, it's society who's ugly.โ€

Seeing as she's easily one of the most beautiful and successful actresses in film history, I'd say she knows what she's talking about.

14. Drew Barrymore, Actress

โ€œWhen I lay my head on the pillow at night I can say 'I was a decent person today.' That's when I feel beautiful.โ€

โ€Love is the hardest habit to break and the most difficult to satisfy.โ€

15. Lucille Ball, Comedian

โ€œLove yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.โ€

16. J.K. Rowling, Author

โ€œIf you want to see the true measure of a man, watch how he treats his inferiors, not his equals.โ€

I think there's something to this.

Looking back, most of the men I've dated who treated me badly were also that way to siblings, coworkers, customer-service people, etc. They must have thought I was their inferior as well. You don't deserve to be treated that way.

17. Kelly Osbourne, Actress

โ€I say find one true friend to help you get through the tough times.โ€

โ€Women are so unforgiving of themselves. We don't realize our own beauty because we're too busy comparing ourselves to other people.โ€

18. Marilyn Monroe #2

(Because she's just that awesome.)
โ€I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I'm out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best.โ€

In other words, find someone who can deal with all sides of you because you shouldn't have to put on a face to be loved. The right person won't make you.

19. Christina Aguilera, Singer

โ€œIf I'm a bitch, I'm a bitch, if that's what an assertive woman is to you.โ€

The days when women were expected to be seen not heard-assuming they existed at all-are long over. Speak your mind; if someone has an issue with it, screw them.

It's not your problem and never was.

I hope you've been able to get something out of the quotes I mentioned above. I got most of them from BrainyQuote.com or Glamour.com, but others came from a Google image search. What about you?
