She was the movie princess for generations of young women. When Carrie Fisher strode out in her figure hugging white dress and her funky buns hairstyle, a female icon was born.

Sadly, the world lost Carrie Fisher, aka Princess Leia, on Tuesday December 27, 2016.

We will remember her not only as the strong, independant yet still feminine heroine of Star Wars, but also as a strong advocate of women's rights and mental health issues.

She is quoted as saying "No matter how I go, I want it reported that I drowned in moonlight, strangled by my own bra." Not quite darling but you are definitely among the brightest stars shining down on us. Thank you from me as a true fan.
